Multi BISS Ch Kataku Hurricane Wilfred WTD WPD WWPD WWPDX ROA
aka Wilfred
Willie loved hard work. Which was fitting, because he was hard work, right up until the end. He was enthusiastic about pretty much everything, as long as it involved doing, well, something. Our main man, he's ran on teams ranging in size from seven dogs to one. He led our teams since 12 months old, earnt his Working Titles in sledding, packing and weight pull, won Weight Pull Dog Of The Year twice, and Best In Specialty Show twice. He's also a proven producer of quality dogs, with both daughter Daisy, and a son, performing extremely well in Working Dog events. Pictured here winning his second BISS with Handler Extraordinaire Samantha Glasheen, judge Mr Graeme Treacey, and Ian. Wilfred has since passed, but remains the only dog `in Australia to have won Specialties, Weight Pull and sledding Point
Score Competitions, and the premier AMCV Weight Pull and Sledding competitions, The tuggy Shield and the State Cup.

BISS Ch Darksky Forget Me Not WPD WTD ROA
aka Sugar
The beautiful Sugar was as sweet as her name suggests- and yes, she's unforgettable! She was an amazing girl in harness for us, taken Best In Specialty Show, and given us a beautiful daughter. After being rewarded by the esteemed Breeder Judge Nancy Russell with a competitive Class win, Sugar stepped it up to win Best In Specialty Show in 2011 under Breeder Judge Mrs. Rosemary Leist (USA). Sugar has since passed, but like Wilfred, leaves a wonderful legacy.

Thomla Sweet Oops A Daisy WTD WPD WWPD WWPX ROA
aka Daisy
A result of an unplanned midnight fling between Wilfred (we DID say he was hard work!) and Sugar, this beautiful girl followed in her Daddy's footsteps. Having earned her Working Titles, Daisy took out the AMCV's Weight Pull Dog Of The Year after her father did 2 years in a row (and her Grandfather did 5 years in a row before that). Shown sparingly (almost not at all in the last 2 years), Daisy needed one point to finish her conformation title before being retired from the ring. She has won her class in Specialty shows a number of times, and before being retired from the team, was the best command leader we've had.

RUBISS Kataku Mystical Dawn WTD
aka Luna
The Lunatic, aka Luna, is the baby of the pack. She gets along with everyone, runs her little butt of in harness, and has done well in her few ventures into the show ring, taking Runner Up Best In Specialty Show at the 2011 AMCV Open Show. She's a natural at weight pulling and back packing, and is one of only 2 bitches to have won the AMCV's Weight Pull Dog Of The Year, in the last 20 years (the only other bitch being kennel mate Daisy). Our plans to breed Luna to Wilfred did not come to fruition, however, she has produced beautiful puppies for our friends at Hamelak Kennels, and more recently for her breeders, Kataku Kennels, producing our newest member, Bhu.

Ch Kortmar Georgies Boy WTD
aka Finn
Finn winning Australian Bred In Group, handled by Georgia Browning
Ch Kortmar Georgies Boy WTD, Finn, joined us at the start of 2013, for a season of sledding. In his first season, he completed his WTD, got half way to his WPD and WWPD, and ran some serious kms. He showed great versatility, running in 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 dog teams, in wheel, swing and lead positions. And we are delighted that Finn will be staying with us permanently. We'd like to thank Finn's breeders and owners, Lyn and Georgia Browning, for allowing us to keep Finn.
